Chicago Skyway Reopens After Closure

The Chicago Skyway has reopened after being closed in both directions earlier Thursday between 91st and 106th streets. As of 2:20 am, the Skyway was closed between the two streets, and it was unknown how long the closure would last.
Traffic Information
Wind gusts of up to 55 mph caused the closure. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible. Real-time traffic maps and freeway trip times are available on the ABC7 website for those who must travel in the area.
Once in the plaza area, signs above the toll lanes will indicate whether a particular lane is open or closed and, if open, what form of payment is accepted.
